Nicole Brown Mihalko O. D.

Dr. Nicole Brown Mihalko was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. She obtained her bachelor's degree from Longwood University and received magna cum laude honors in Chemistry and Biology. Upon graduation, she became a Certified Paraoptometric Technician at Patterson Eye Clinic, where her passion for optometry and patient care began. Dr. Mihalko earned her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2021 from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated with summa cum laude honors and received several awards including the Ocular Disease Clinical Excellence Award. She completed her clinical externships in optometric rehabilitation for traumatic brain injuries at Walter Reed National Military Center in Bethesda, Maryland and in ocular disease and surgical co-management at Coastal Vision Center in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Dr. Mihalko is a board certified optometrist and has additional board certifications for injectable skills and the treatment of ocular disease. She is also a member of the American Optometric Association and the Virginia Optometric Association. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, hiking, water sports, and being with friends and family. Dr. Mihalko is delighted to be back in Richmond and we are thrilled to have her back at Patterson Eye Clinic!
